Toy Recall: Princess and the Frog Jewelry Recalled due to Cadmium

Today the CPSC announced a new recall of two types of necklaces featuring Disney’s Princess and the Frog. Exclusively sold at Walmart and manufactured by FAF, the necklaces have a crown or a frog pendant and come in a hinged box.
Cadmium is a toxic substance that became more prevalent in toy manufacturing after lead was prohibited.
It is particularly important to ensure that children’s jewelry is free of lead and cadmium. Children frequently put the jewelry in their mouths and could ingest the toxic substances. If your child has this jewelry, take it away immediately and return it to Walmart for a full refund.
